In or Out
One card at a time, no clock. Shoppers answer In or Out and learn a fact with every card.
- No clock
- Built for keyboards
- A fact with every card
This is a demo. A win shows a sample code, not a real one.
Best for calm play that everyone can join.
In or Out has no timer and no race. It’s built for keyboards and screen readers, so more shoppers can play. Each answer comes with a fact.
- Clearing up what is and isn’t in a product
- Shoppers who’d rather think than race
- Stores that want every shopper to be able to play
How scoring works
We set up every round and check every score on our side, against what was dealt and the clock.
One card at a time
Each card shows one thing: an ingredient, a feature or a material.
Answer In or Out
Tap a button, swipe the card or use the arrow keys.
Learn as you go
Every answer shows that card’s fact, right or wrong.
Your score is the cards you got right
There’s no clock. Take each card at your own pace.
Set it up in three steps
Or describe the game to Claude or ChatGPT, and your assistant will set it up for you.
Write the cards
List the things that are in, and a few that aren’t. Give each one a short fact.
Set the prize and the winning score
Guessing gets about half right, and answering In every time gets all the In cards right. Set the bar at more than half, and more than the number of In cards (or Out cards, whichever is bigger). Earnaroo won’t let a game go live with a bar that answering the same way every time reaches, or that guessing reaches on average.
Choose where it shows up
The Peek, a play bubble, after a delay, when someone’s about to leave, or only from a link. Or share the game’s own page.
Questions about In or Out
Is there a timer?
No. In or Out has no clock. Shoppers take each card at their own pace.
How do keyboard users play?
With the arrow keys: right for In, left for Out. After each answer, the right arrow goes to the next card.
Does it work with a screen reader?
It’s built to. Every button is labelled, and after each answer the result and the fact are attached to the Next button, which a screen reader reads when it lands there.
What’s a fair winning score?
More than half, and more than the number of In cards (or Out cards, whichever is bigger). Someone who guesses gets about half right, and someone who answers In every time gets every In card right. Our guide to setting a fair winning score explains more.
